KSG-15

KSG-15 is a non-emulsifying silicone gel that can be used to increase the structural viscosity of the oil phase of formulations without affecting the feel. KSG-15 contains 4-10% cross-linked polymer in Cyclopentasiloxane.

Shin-Etsu's KSG series consists of cross-linked silicone polymers that are combined with a silicone fluid or oil to form a gel. These silicone gels can be used as thickening agents for the oil phase of formulations, which can help with water-in-oil emulsion stability. KSG-15 is a non-emulsifying silicone gel that contains a cross-linked silicone with a 3-dimensional network structure. KSG-15 can be used to increase the structural viscosity of the oil phase of formulations, which can improve formulation stability, without affecting the feel. It can be used in water-in-oil and oil-in-water emulsions as well as anhydrous formulations. KSG-15 contains 4-10% cross-linked polymer in Cyclopentasiloxane and has a refractive index of 1.397 (at 25 °C).
