Shin-Etsu is a long-established Japanese company, specialising in the manufacture of high quality silicone derivatives.  The Shin-Etsu ranges include:

• Emulsifiers / Dispersants: To improve stability of water-in-oil and oil-in-water emulsions, prevent syneresis, ease dispersion of powders and reduce tack in Skincare and Colour Cosmetics.

• Emulsifying Silicone Gels: To act as a water-in-oil emulsifier, create high internal-phase, macro water-in-oil emulsions and spreadable non-aqueous formulations, prevent syneresis of non-aqueous formulations and thicken oil phases for Skincare and Colour Cosmetics.

• Silicone Gels: For use as an oil phase thickener to improve stability of water-in-oil and oil-in-water emulsions, as a base for non-aqueous formulations, and a binder for pressed powders, with a silky, non-greasy feel and a soft focus effect.

• Film Formers: To improve resistance to water, sebum and wear, provide a substantive feel and prevent colour migration in cosmetics.

• Silicone Waxes: To provide smoother skin and a rich, moisturising feel, enhance gloss and as a binder for pressed powders.

• Silicone Powders: For a soft, silky feel, reduced tack and a soft focus effect for skin care and colour cosmetics.
