KF-6104

KF-6104 is an emulsifying silicone fluid. It is a branched, polyglycerin-modified silicone with a low HLB. This emulsifier has excellent water-holding properties.

Shin-Etsu produces an extensive line of products that can be used as emulsifiers and as dispersants for powders. These emulsifying fluids are based on a lipophilic silicone chain (linear, branched or cross-linked) with either a polyether or polyglycerin hydrophilic group. Various modifications are available to make the emulsifiers suitable for various types of oil phase. KF-6104 is an emulsifying silicone fluid. It is a branched, polyglycerin-modified silicone with a low HLB, refractive index 1.409 (at 25 °C), specific gravity 1.00 (at 25 °C) and viscosity 4,000 mPa.s (at 25 °C). This emulsifier has excellent water-holding properties. Emulsions made using KF-6104 are easy to apply and spread on the skin, and feel very soft and rich.
