Eckart is a leading international manufacturer of high performance pearlescent and metallic pigments for the Personal Care industry.  Eckart’s products for Personal Care include:

• SynCrystal: The SynCrystal range consists of interference pearlescent pigments manufactured by depositing layers of Titanium Dioxide onto Synthetic Fluorphlogopite platelets. Synthetic Fluorphlogopite has several advantages over the traditional natural Mica platelets used in older pearlescent pigments – the Fluorphlogopite platelets have lower heavy metal and impurity contents than natural mica, and the Fluorphlogopite platelets have a smooth, uniform surface which leads to more uniform deposition of Titanium Dioxide and hence high colour purity and reliability. As Synthetic Fluorphlogopite is not a mined material, there are no issues regarding its availability. The SynCrystal range can provide subtle shimmer, optical blurring, sparkle and shine in a wide range of colours.

• Mirage: The Mirage range consists of high performance pearlescent pigments based on Calcium Sodium Borosilicate “glass” platelets. Eckart’s platelets are extraordinarily smooth, transparent and uniform, which leads to high colour purity, reliability, gloss and sparkle.

• Visionaire: The Visionaire range consists of metallic pigments consisting of aluminium, copper or bronze platelets encapsulated in Silica for a vibrant metallic effect and complete safety. The Visionaire range is only suitable for use in anhydrous formulations.

• Metallure: The Metallure range consists of Aluminium platelets in a solvent, to give a mirror or holographic effect to nail polishes.

• Silverdream: The Silverdream range consists of Aluminium, Copper and Bronze powders for use in nail polishes.
