DermaPep A440, an innovative anti-ageing tetrapeptide, has been developed to effectively inhibit the matrix degrading MMPs and to restore collagen levels back to normal. In vitro results show that DermaPep A440 greatly inhibits the expression and production of MMP-1 under both UV-stimulated and non-stimulated conditions and restores collagen levels significantly. In addition, DermaPep A440 considerably lowers the MMP levels that have been produced by ROS or RNS. Finally, in vivo clinical study results prove that DermaPep A440 is a very effective anti-ageing agent.
