A-Silkne

A natural, anti-acne ingredient with a silicone like skin feel, designed for use in anhydrous formulations and water-in-oil emulsions.

A-Silkne is an oil based anti-acne ingredient which is suitable across a range of formulations, in particular in colour cosmetics. In anhydrous formulations and water-in-oil emulsions it can reduce or prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi, including C. acnes and also shows a reduction of microbial growth on make up applicator sponges. 

A-Silkne also improves the texture of formulations, with a textural analysis showing that it performs comparably to dimethicone oil.
