MFSorb 501

MFSorb 501, Benzophenone-1, is an oil soluble UV filter.

Benzophenone-1 is a UVB absorber with some absorption in the UVA range as well. It is photostable and often used for colour protection in cosmetic formulations or as a secondary UV filter in sun protection products. It is supplied as a white-yellow powder which must be completely solubilised in order to remain stable in the formulation.
