Stellight is a synthetic hexapeptide that acts upon 5 stages of melanogenesis:

1. Fading existing melanin
2. Down regulation of melanin-related gene expression
3. Modulation of the 3-way communication between melanocytes with keratinocytes and fibroblasts
4. Reduction of melanin production in melanosomes
5. Reduction of dendrites which facilitate the transfer of melanosomes throughout the epidermis

By tackling each of these steps, Stellight greatly reduces melanin production and transfer throughout the skin, resulting in increased skin lightness, luminosity, and clarity.
