TTO-NJE8 is non-nano Titanium Dioxide that provides high SPF/PFA and transparency. TTO-NJE8 is surface treated with Kobo's NJE (Natural Jojoba Ester) treatment.

Inorganic UV filters are preferred over chemical sun filters because of their physical and chemical stability as well as their non-irritating properties. In order to be transparent on the skin and effective against UV light, Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide with particle sizes less than 100nm or “nanoparticles” have become increasingly popular. In light of perceived health risks associated with “nanoparticles” manufacturers have been asked to develop particles over 100nm while maintaining adequate UV protection and cosmetic acceptability. TTO-NJE8 is non-nano Titanium Dioxide that provides high SPF/PFA and transparency. TTO-NJE8 is surface treated with Kobo's NJE (Natural Jojoba Ester) treatment. NJE treatment is a natural treatment that provides a stable hydrophobic coating which does not turn rancid upon heating. It provides a creamy feel and good affinity to the skin. NJE treatment is suitable for powders with very good pressability.
